Light Sensitivity
We often associate light with positive feelings. We are attracted to the light in people. Paradise always has bright, sunny weather. In art, angels are often depicted with a halo of light rays. For most people light is a happy element. But for some unfortunate folks light can be unbearable. Normal lighting in offices or public spaces can burn with the intensity of searchlights. Diffused lighting indoors or cloudy light outdoors can feel as bright and unwelcome as direct sunlight for some people. A significant migraine / headache trigger is related to the flicker/strobe. You may avoid certain restaurants because of this lighting-ceiling fan arrangement. If you have an unusual sensitivity to light, indoors or outdoors, contact Dr. Stephey to learn how vision therapy, nutritional therapy and / or eyeglasses with prisms, color, and / or low plus lenses may reduce or eliminate your light sensitivity.
